Moena
Moena is the most important Val di Fassa (German: Fassatal, Ladin Val de Fascia) town, not just from the tourism point of view, but also in the administrative and in the economic sense. Moena is the most important ski resort in Val di Fassa, because it lies in a strategic position among the Sassolungo (German: Langkofel), Catinaccio (German: Rosengarten) and Latemar mountain massifs, which let Moena be one of the most famous ski resorts in Trentino. The Falcalde San Pellegrino ski zone lies 10 minutes away from the city center by car. This skizone connects Val di Fassa with the Belluno province, offering 71 km of ski fields for every level. Moena is famous among the gourmets as well; the symbol of the Moena gastronomy is the “puzzone di Moena” cheese.
